The Woodcote Hotel
About
The Woodcote Hotel is a privately-owned country house hotel situated in its own grounds in the small village of Hooton on the South Wirral and Cheshire border. We are open 7 days a week for Breakfast, Lunch, Afternoon Tea and Dinner. We have a beautiful walled garden and patio area with comfortable seating for you to enjoy, and it's dog friendly. Expect delicious seasonal dishes and hearty pub classics, with a focus on locally sourced fresh ingredients. Our new Head Chef Jake Parry, is a local chef, originally from Anglesey, who always enjoys a good pie. He earned an AA Rosette while working for 5 years at Pinion Bistro in Prescot. Jake has also been featured in the Waitrose Good Food Guide. Jake is committed to using fresh local produce and is excited to add a variety of flavours to our new menu to include his favourite style - chargrilling of meats and fish. Behind the bar you’ll find plenty of award-winning lager, ales and cider, a wide range of gin, wine, prosecco and our recently introduced cocktails. The Woodcote is the ideal location for a rural retreat, family break or staycation. We are just off junction 5 of the M53 halfway between our two cities of Liverpool and Chester, making us an ideal base for exploring the many attractions on the Wirral and surrounding areas. You will be spoilt for choice, from shopping at the nearby Cheshire Oaks designer outlet, visiting Liverpool or the award-winning Chester Zoo.
