Genuinely old oak-beamed, ivy-covered pub, situated next to the attractive village church on an ancient road which runs through the village. The beams are festooned with jugs, tankards and hops and there is a fine open fire in winter. Popular with horse riding clubs, classic car societies and vintage motorcycle clubs. An unusual pub that serves food all day every day except Tuesday. Traditional English food. Specials on Thursday Friday and Saturday evenings: Freshly homemade pasta. Locally sourced game.
