Chef Tong Chee Hwee, former Global Group Executive Head Chef, has returned to launch Gouqi, a new high-end fine dining Chinese restaurant located at 25-34 Cockspur Street, St James's opposite the Canadian Embassy, Trafalgar Square. The restaurant name derives from the goji berry, as a symbol of health and vitality that inspires the ethos of the restaurant Using premium produce sourced from around the globe, the menu offers an abundance of flavours, techniques, ingredients. The traditional wine cellar is well stocked and features fine wines, and a bar menu offering Asian inspired cocktails. Gouqi seats 92 covers and includes two private interconnecting dining rooms; Crimson & Ruby, which seat 10 and 12, and combine to accommodate up to 22 guests.
