Founded in 1907 Ilford Golf Club is a traditional members club which offers a warm welcome to both members and visitors alike, located just off Wanstead Park Road, and readily accessible from the A12 and A406. We offer a relaxed social environment in which to play the game. Ilford Golf Club has been in existence for over 115 years, the original course having been on one area and split into Clubhouse/Car Park and Course in 1984 when the A406 went through the original 18 hole, leaving our course now accessible by a foot bridge. Our course is maintained to the same high standard of pre A406 providing golfers with an exceptional challenge. The USGA standard 18 hole course presents a challenging experience to both novice and weathered golfers alike. Our greens are renowned for their quality and consistency. Commenting on the greens, a recent visitor wrote, ‘The health, density and absence of disease are of a quality I have not seen or enjoyed for a long time’.
