Long & Short Coffee
About
One of the best coffee micro-roasters in London have set-up a permanent pop-up in the East End. Suitably placed in the Tea Rooms, Long & Short's cafe serves only the best single-origin coffee (scoring 85+ on the 'cupping' table, back at the roastery) inside a secret urban jungle hidden away in a corner of the hustle and bustle of Brick Lane. Coffees are bought and roasted in small batches, and rotated frequently according to the harvest schedule. Even if you don't drink coffee, there are award-winning loose leaf teas served in glass teapots alongside freshly baked treats, scones (complete with clotted cream!) and Scandi open sandwiches for a decadent bout of afternoon tea. Current specials include the ubiquitous Taste Flight, banging Vietnamese iced coffee (authentically served with condensed milk) and the Sourdough Safari. Dine against a revolving backdrop of the finest urban and contemporary art in what is probably London's only art gallery urban jungle cafe.
