Housed in a lovingly restored 17th Century inn, our pub is steeped in a fascinating history that stretches back centuries. Situated on Acton’s High Street, our original dark wood frontage is a reminder of the pub’s previous role as a stop off for travelers on the busy road from London to Oxford. Likely to have been a pub of some description since medieval times, a list of previous landlords dating as far back as 1759 still hangs on the wall. From tales of highwaymen and confirmed accounts of 18th Century vicious robberies, the George & Dragon’s past is certainly a colourful one! The pub currently hosts a 6bbl microbrewery, Thai kitchen and live music every Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
