About

The Portrait Restaurant is a contemporary restaurant by Richard Corrigan in partnership with Searcys. Occupying the top floor of the revamped National Portrait Gallery, it is a space with panoramic views that take in Trafalgar Square and the Houses of Parliament. In true Corrigan style, menus showcase only the best of British and Irish ingredients. The Irish chef, who champions seasonal produce and wild fish in his restaurants, has taken inspiration from some of the most memorable dishes in his culinary career, re-introducing forgotten classics to the gallery guests. Expect delights from the sea and land, artisanal smokeries and of course Irish soda bread from the Bentley’s bakery. The bar features vibrant wines and classic cocktails to enjoy alongside an all-day bar menu with snacks, such as the Crispy Oyster Croque Monsieur - a personal favourite of Richard’s. Open for lunch, high tea, dinner and drinks.
