C & G No. 4, bought for £1250 in 1920, this McMullen pub has stood on Kings Head Hill, under an impressive Oak Tree (funnily enough!) ever since. The Royal Oak joined the Chicken & Grill pub family in 2011, with a fayre that includes freshly spit-roasted chicken, fabulous ice cream sundaes, locally brewed beers, cocktails and our favourite wines – all to be enjoyed by our roaring fires or alfresco when the sun is shining. Dining aplenty, private hire available, and regular entertainment always offers a reason to visit! Though once you’ve sampled the most consistently amazing service of any McMullen’s Chicken & Grill pub, any other reason to visit is simply an added bonus!
