Treadwells is one of the world's most famous esoteric bookshops, with new and secondhand titles over two floors. In an atmosphere of dark wood bookshelves and afghan rugs, customers browse books on magic, witchcraft, world religions, and occult traditions. A tarot reader is on-site seven days a week. Most evenings there's a class, lecture or meditation group in the downstairs workshop room.
