About

The church is open all day, and the quiet corner is well-used for prayer and lighting votive candles. It is held in affection by many people who work hard to look after it, and generally come to the ‘big services’. The worshipping community is smaller, and the average congregation at regular services is 15. Recently, children have come at Christmas only. Breakfast Church has attracted a few who otherwise come rarely. We value the cycle of times and seasons, in step with the liturgical initiatives of the present Rector. The six bells have been rehung, ring before all services, and are popular with visiting ringers. The church, with its 12th century round tower and Romanesque doorways, is in an attractive churchyard by the village street, convenient for the Village Hall. It is high and light, clear from west to east, with traditional furniture, oak pews for about 100, and a good small pipe organ. Through past care it has come down in good structural condition.
