The Cock Inn
About
We are a truly traditional country ale house, set in the beautiful Luddesdowne Valley. First opened in 1713, we are a pub in the true sense of the word based around good beer, a convivial atmosphere and friendly conversation. Free from children, piped muzak and gaming machines, we have replaced them with an adult environment, conversation and traditional pub games - Bar Billiards, Crib, Dominoes, Darts, Shove Ha'penny, Shut the box - are all here for your enjoyment. If you are unsure how to play there is always someone here to help you. We don't have Wi-Fi and mobile phones are not encouraged. A pub built in the 1700's was never built wth catering to todays expectations in mind. Space limitations and meagre facilities mean we will never be a restaurant or "Gastropub". For this reason we do not offer formal catering nor a menu, However Hot Cornish Pasties and Sausage rolls are available freshly baked Friday to Sunday from Midday to 9pm alongside a range of traditional bar snacks.
