Grappenhall Heys Walled Garden
About
Grappenhall Heys Walled Garden was originally part of the estate of Thomas Parr, a wealthy banker in Warrington who established his home here around 1830. After a turbulent period of demise, the four acre garden garden was saved and transformed back to its former glory. Facilities include a pleasure garden with 3 ponds, a fully stocked kitchen garden, a cafe which is only open on Friday, Saturday and Sunday serving a selection of freshly made food. The site, owned and managed by Grappenhall & Thelwall Parish Council, is open, with free admission Tuesday-Sunday. Opening times: Tuesday - Thursday from 12 - 4pm (Garden only), Friday 10am - 4pm, Saturday & Sunday 10am - 4pm (Garden and Cafe). The site has disabled access and toilet facilities. Dogs are allowed on leads and closely supervised (but not within the cafe area)
