Sandwich Tours is owned and operated by U-8047 TRUST, a social enterprise to provide FREE historical information for children.We are a none profit organisation, who have operated in Leeds for the last year; where we provided over 18 thousand FREE Child visitations to the Submarine Museum at Clarence Dock in Leeds.Sandwich Tours aims to provide FREE tours for children, offering them information about the history, buildings, architecture, customs and traditions of Sandwich.In medieval times, Sandwich was one of the main ports of the nation and is still one of the original Cinque Ports of the UK. Back then the River Stour was wide and deep enough for great sailing ships; today, they have been replaced by smaller more modern boats and yachts. With all this history, culture and medieval buildings, Sandwich is well worth a day, or overnight, visit and guided walk with Sandwich Tours.
