The Wedale Bookshop was established in 2023 and is an independent bookshop in the village of Stow, serving the Gala Water valley, Galashiels, Lauder and the wider Scottish Borders and Midlothian. Situated on the A7 and on the Borders Railway, the Border's newest independent bookshop is also one of the most easy to access by public transport. Filled with exciting books, specialising in Scottish history, folklore and environmental issues, as well as a range of fiction, children's, cooking, gardening, lifestyle, history and poetry, the bookshop is a perfect place to find a good read. We also stock an ever-growing range of locally-produced gifts and ethical goods from around the world. We may be small but we have a big heart. Our bookshop has two storeys, thousands of stories!
