Ridgmont Station Heritage Centre
About
The Heritage Centre shares the 1846 Victorian former station building with the Ridgmont Station Tea Room (a separate business). The Heritage Centre is run by volunteers and provides a gift shop and a small but growing collection of railway-related artifacts in the restored former booking office. We tell the story of the Marston Vale line between Bedford and Bletchley, as well as future proposals for the East-West rail project of which the line is part and also the proposed Bedford-Milton Keynes Canal/waterpark project (which will pass nearby). The Heritage Centre is currently usually open Thursday - Saturday, although we can also open for pre-arranged group visits at other times (please email for details). The Tea Room complements the Heritage Centre but is currently open for advance booking only. Please phone ahead to make sure we are open before travelling.
