The Stables Theatre
About
The Stables is a world‑class music venue located in the village of Wavendon in south‑east Milton Keynes, England. Since its opening in 1970, it has hosted more than 400 concerts and 250 educational events each year, ranging from legendary performers such as Amy Winehouse and Dave Brubeck to emerging talents. The venue boasts a 400‑seat Jim Marshall Auditorium and an 80‑seat Stage 2 studio, offering an intimate setting for a wide variety of music styles—including jazz, folk, rock, pop and classical. In addition to its performance spaces, The Stables runs an extensive learning and participation programme, providing workshops, masterclasses and residential courses for musicians of all ages. The venue also hosts the biennial Milton Keynes International Festival, a 10‑day multi‑arts celebration in July that brings music, sound and performance art to the heart of the city. The Stables supports accessibility with lift access, hearing‑aid support and wheelchair seating, and offers free on‑site parking (first‑come, first‑served) and a café for pre‑show dining.
