The Tyneside Coffee Rooms opened on the second floor of the Tyneside Cinema over 70 years ago and is still going strong today. Since opening in the late 1930s, the Tyneside Coffee Rooms has been a local institution. After being a family business for over 30 years, Tyneside Coffee Rooms is now managed by Tyneside Cinema’s own team, and continues to serve up its hearty comfort food in the cosy atmosphere that makes it a firm local favourite and a stop off for visitors from around the world.
