We are a family run restaurant and free house in the heart of the Norfolk countryside, yet only fifteen minutes from the city of Norwich. The ingredients for our menus are sourced locally wherever possible, we grow our own herbs, and our free range eggs are from a local farm,and we buy our fish fresh direct from Lowestoft. Whether you are looking for a delicious traditional steak and ale pie, beer battered fish and chips (large!!) A sizzling skillet of Duck Breast with oriental vegetables and Hoisin sauce, or indeed something a little different from our evening special selection, we know you will be spoilt for choice with our extensive menu. We also have some delicious vegetarian options to tempt you. Oh, and try to leave room for one of Tristan's legendary desserts! Our recently opened eight en suite luxury Guest rooms are available now at a charge of £80 per room and our delicious breakfast just £8.95. During the warmer months, we look forward to offering outside dining, either in our gardens or on our sunny terrace, and we can now cater for larger parties, wedding receptions and celebratory functions.
