About
The Stobo Japanese Water Garden is a private garden within the Stobo Farm Estate. It is open to the general public two days a year through 'Scotland's Garden Scheme'. Designed in the early 1900s it is a rare example of its type in Scotland. The garden was created when Japanese style was the height of fashion and features a waterfall, a cascade of ponds - punctuated by bridges and stepping stones - cherry trees, maples, iconic Japanese lanterns, a ‘tea house’ and humpback bridge.
