Tremorran Quiet Garden
About
The garden is set in the grounds of Tremorran which was built as a mine captain’s house at the turn of the 1900’s. There is a maze of paths leading to many ‘rooms’ furnished with seating, sculpture and standing slates. At the wildlife pond with waterfall and sloping pebble beach observe the many birds and creatures that visit. In the studio garden, surrounded by old fashioned roses is an ornamental pond which is home to goldfish and lilies. Follow the grassy path northwards and discover the secret garden where a circle of daffodils appear in the spring. Gravel gardens with standing stones feature well established palms and succulents. A shepherds hut occupies one of these spaces. Through the gate into the paddock young native trees are growing next to a wildflower meadow. Just beyond is a 7 circuit classic labyrinth laid out in local granite stones measuring 18 metres across. After exploring the gardens, browse the Tremorran & the Angel Gallery exhibiting arts and craft
