The Cornwood Inn
About
.Cornwood Inn is 100% owned by the community - saved in 2020 and given a new life. In September 2019 Cornwood Inn was bought from a major "Pubco" by a band of community volunteers called Cornwood Inn Action Group using short-term loans. To secure the future of the pub, funding was raised by converting into a community benefit society and selling community shares. The share offer - which featured in the Telegraph and on the BBC - was hugely successful, attracting many local investors and even some from France, the US and New Zealand; people keen to save a traditional Dartmoor pub. The pub has had a much needed face-lift and is now run by manager Tina Forbes with a dedicated team of both staff and volunteers. Cornwood Inn is an independent freehouse - we stock what our guests want – and as a community benefit society, we put people before profits. So pay us a visit - and maybe you'll fall in love with the Cornwood Inn too!
