About

This place has just recently opened. IT used to be a video shop but the owner, Colin, has converted it to a licensed bar and restaurant. It is the quirkiest place you will ever visit and Colin himself is brilliant. The story is that he retired and shut down the video shop. He then got bored so opened up his sitting room to strangers. The local council then told him he had to be licensed thinking that would kill it off. However he managed to get a licence as he was judged of sufficiently good standing due to his 9 and a half years as a special constable. Weirdly he is the approved distributor of "Jeremiah's Weed" - a sour drink from the southern states of America whic is served in it's traditional "screw top" glass jar. When we were told the name of the place: "Colin's Community Club" we initially refused to go but our friend Al's persistence eventually paid and we all agreed to go and "take a look". Glad we did! Most random place ever. Needs to be on Trip Advisor! Quirky as anything but brilliant! There is now a sign outside and he has made his own bar! Hilarious.
