Established in 1988 as a family business, Andre’s Food Bar is Southsea’s oldest independent sandwich shop. We have been successfully feeding the city for over 30 years and are the place to go for the freshest filled baguettes, croissants and delicious tempting treats. Now being run by the next generation, Andre, the family’s oldest son has worked in the business since he could barely see over the counter, so it’s fair to say he knows his bagels from his baguettes! He’s also the guardian of our many secret recipes, including our famous garlic chicken, the jalapeno quiche and our home-made mayo. He can still be found working in the shop most days so be sure to pop in and say hello! So whether you want a naughty nibble with your morning coffee for breakfast or something on the side with one of our freshly prepared baguettes or homemade salads for lunch, then we’ve got it covered. We’re all about simple, fuss free, fresh food made while you wait, just the way you like.
