High Dalby House is a Country House with 17th century origins located in Dalby Forest in the North York Moors National Park. Our luxury accommodation, good breakfasts, breathtaking scenery, woodland walks, lake, summer house reading room, wood fired hot tub, sauna/steam room, fire pit, star gazing dome and chapel/meeting room combine to create a wonderful ambience in which to relax and unwind. Mountain bike trails, running routes, walking trails and "Go Ape" all on our doorstep for the more active visitors. Perfect for business meetings, touring the area or for taking time out to sample retreat. This is a Dark Skies Discovery Site (Milky Way Class). over the past few years dark sky measurements have shown that High Dalby can boast the very darkest skies in the reserve. We have barbecue and outdoor Pizza Oven for guests who wish to cater for themselves. The well stocked bar operates on an honesty basis and with 2 comfortable guest lounges to sit and enjoy your drink, just to chat or watch one of the DVD's or Sky sport there is always something to help you relax and unwind - a true retreat in the heart of the forest. We also offer specialised retreats and quiet days, some themed, others self led, where you can explore and find yourself. Mindfulness and well being are at the core of our welcome whether secular or spiritual hence our strap line - Holidays and Holy days. The newly built purpose designed labyrinth with its central gazebo provides great opportunity to release your concerns and re-imagine your situation as you mindfully walk the path and stop at the sculpted globes to reflect on the inscriptionsBecause of the lake and river running through the grounds we are unable to accommodate children at this time. Both Cottages and 2 rooms in the house are allocated as Dog friendly, others are retained pet free in consideration of those with allergies
