About

Manvers Lake is a hidden gem which offers a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life, providing a perfect spot for relaxation, leisure, and outdoor activities. The surrounding parkland make it an ideal spot for picnics and paths around the lake provide the perfect opportunity for leisurely strolls, and enjoying nature whilst taking in the scenic views. There is a great little takeaway café on-site which offers a selection of drinks and snacks. Manvers Lake & Dearne Valley Trust (a registered charity) was formed in 2011 and is dedicated to maintaining and developing the Boathouse and Manvers Lake, ensuring both the facilities and natural environment are sustained and improved. For those seeking adventure on the water, Manvers Lake offers an array of watersports. A sports club was set up for members of the local community, called Manvers Waterfront Boat Club (MWBC). Additionally, the Trust also provides an outreach programme for educational and other group users.
