Cambo Gardens
About
Cambo Gardens is a 2.5‑acre walled garden nestled on the east coast of Fife, just north of the historic town of St Andrews. The estate blends Georgian elegance with a lively, modern horticultural programme, offering visitors a tranquil escape into lush flowerbeds, well‑tended lawns, and a celebrated Plant Heritage snowdrop collection that boasts over 350 varieties. The gardens are open daily from 10 am to 5 pm, with a free winter entry from 22 November to 23 December. During the winter months, the walled garden becomes a quiet haven of snowdrops, while the surrounding woodland offers early spring blossoms, daffodils, and a rare prairie garden featuring native perennials. Cambo also welcomes groups, school teams, and horticulture enthusiasts for guided tours and educational workshops. Dog‑friendly pathways extend through the woodland to the sea, and the on‑site café and shop provide a relaxed venue for refreshments and plant sales. Whether you’re strolling along the carefully curated flower borders, taking part in a themed tour, or simply enjoying a peaceful walk by the sea, Cambo Gardens offers a charm that captures the spirit of Scottish gardening heritage.
