About

Visit Buxton Visitor Centre in the Grade-II listed Victorian Pump Room for everything you need to make the most of your Peak District journey. We stock a range of unique, hand-picked and locally-sourced gifts and souvenirs, official OS maps and guidebooks, and plenty of refreshments. Book tickets to the Buxton Crescent Experience at the Tourist Information desk or on our website. The Pump Room was built by the 7th Duke of Devonshire in 1894 as a companion to Buxton Crescent, and to provide the public with more space to access Buxton's mineral water, which emerges from the earth in the Pump Room's well. Visit us to 'take the waters' yourself, and discover the unique history of this building, Buxton Crescent, and more!
