The Hanging Gate Pub and Restaurant, tucked into the scenic High Peak of Derbyshire, is a historic venue that dates back over four centuries. Originally a shoemaker’s workshop, it became the first public house in 1836, and today it retains its original stone walls and village charm. The family‑run pub serves breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea and evening meals daily from 10 am, and offers a range of function rooms that can be hired free of charge. Catering is available from 10 am to 8 pm with free delivery across Derbyshire and Cheshire for groups of 30 or more. A dedicated children’s play area, baby‑friendly facilities and plenty of ‘special touches’ such as balloons, champagne on ice and table decorations make it an excellent choice for weddings, christenings, funerals and birthdays.
