The church, built in the 12th century has a wealth of interesting features, including a monk's carrel dating from the 15th century. The four bells and a Sanctus bell that existed in 1553 were replaced by the peal of eight in 1602. In the south wall of the chancel are two piscinae and there is another in the south chapel. Outside there are three scratch dials.
