East Lambrook Manor Gardens
About
East Lambrook Manor Gardens is a privately owned English Heritage Grade 1 listed garden and an RHS partner garden. It is a beautful and quaint cottage-style garden originally created by the iconic plantswoman Margery Fish who wrote books and magazine articles about her garden in the mid 20th century. After her death in 1969 it has been lovingly maintained and developed by her family and then a few successive owners. Current owners Michael and Gail Werkmeister have been restoring and maintaining the gardens since 2008. The Margery Fish plant nursery, which is free to visit, has a fine collection of cottage garden plants for sale. There is also a tearoom with tea, coffee, cakes and soft drinks, and a gallery which hosts various art exhibitions during the summer.
