A traditional family run welcoming freehold country inn, over 400 years old and still retaining much of the charm and features of a typical old british pub with the original flagstone floors and beamed ceilings, we are proud to source and grow local produce when ever possible for our home cooked menu including options that are vegetarian and vegan, our specials board changes on a weekly basis and our local fully matured steaks and grills are very popular as is the Sunday lunchtime and evening carvery with a choice of three meats Yorkshire puds, roasties, cauliflower cheese and a great selection of fresh seasonal veg. Families are welcome with junior menu options, highchairs available upon request, well behaved dogs welcome (fireside tables only) Great selection of cask ales, lagers and ciders, cosy open log fire for the winter months and large beer garden and play area for the summer, live music some weekends in the beer garden throughout the summer.
