Tropiquaria Zoo
About
Tropiquaria Zoo, housed in the historic Art Deco BBC radio transmitter station, is one of the UK’s most unique wildlife parks. Sprawling across four acres of lush green space, it boasts a stunning aquarium with over 40 tanks, the world’s leading Goodeid breeding program, a nocturnal house showcasing rarely seen night‑time creatures, and a reptile hall set in the original transmitter building. The zoo offers family‑friendly attractions such as two life‑size pirate ships and an adventure castle, alongside a children’s play area and café. Throughout the year, visitors can enjoy up to nine animal talks, explore the conservation centre, and support the rescue program that welcomes rescued animals from across the UK and abroad. With its blend of education, conservation, and playful adventure, Tropiquaria Zoo delivers a memorable experience for all ages.
