About
The National Memorial Arboretum, located just south of Alrewas near Lichfield in Staffordshire, is the UK’s year-round centre of remembrance. It spans 150 acres of woodland and gardens, and hosts more than 400 memorials that honor the sacrifices of armed forces, police, civilian volunteers and others. Visitors can explore the landmark Armed Forces Memorial, the tranquil Millennium Chapel of Peace and Forgiveness, and the modern Remembrance Centre, all set among 25,000 trees and beautifully landscaped pathways. The Arboretum offers free admission, guided walks, educational activities, a café and a gift shop, making it a meaningful stop for families, history lovers, veterans, solo travellers and couples seeking reflection.
