About
Based in the village of Stretton in Warrington, the Cat and Lion is a welcoming pub with a rich history. Built in the 1600s as a coaching inn, the Cat and Lion has been fully refurbished to a high standard whilst retaining original features and a sense of times past with a hay hatch door and wooden beams. Alongside a large and heated beer garden to the back, inside you’ll find a spacious dining area, small snug and dog friendly area and other cosy areas. The pub offers a full and fantastic food menu that can be sampled seven days a week. On the menu you’ll find a range of starters and sharers, pub classics, fresh stonebaked pizzas from the on-site pizza oven and desserts. You can also get a teas and coffees throughout the day. Being a Joseph Holt pub, the Cat and Lion stocks a variety of local North West brewed beers. Award-winning lagers, cask ales and modern craft styles can all be found behind the ornate, carved wooden bar.
