Yorkshire ingredients - new and traditional recipes from Michael Hjort - former Sous Chef to Michel Roux Jr. Opened in 2001 we remain the sister restaurant to the award winning Melton's. Find us in a large 17th century listed building in the centre of York, there’s lots of history and a few ghost stories! A variety of spaces makes us ideal for Parties. The second floor and Loft space house Chopping Block, which serves homemade dishes alongside serious modern cuisine using quality Yorkshire produce. You can book on-line. The Ale House on the ground floor offers a range of Yorkshire Ales, Lagers and Cider as well as an extensive Wine List. Relax in our Games Room and enjoy our inventive Bar Snacks.
